BELGIAN MALINOIS
High-drive working dogs. Built for sport, service, and serious work — not first-time owners.
The Belgian Malinois is a working dog. Not a "family dog who can do work" — a dog that needs a job and will create one if you don't give it one.
Done right, Malinois are the most trainable, biddable dogs in the world. They run the Secret Service. They're on every special operations team. They title at the highest levels of every sport that exists. The ceiling is unreachable.
Done wrong, they're a daily disaster. A Malinois without structure, without exercise, without a handler who reads them, becomes destructive, anxious, and reactive within weeks.
When a Malinois is right
You should consider a Malinois if you:
Have prior dog-training experience (or are willing to commit to professional handler coaching for the first year)
Can deliver 90+ minutes of structured daily work — not just walks; we mean training reps, sport drills, decoy work, mental engagement
Have a job in mind — sport, service work, protection, search-and-rescue, agility, advanced obedience
Live somewhere with space and surfaces for daily exercise
When a Malinois is wrong
The dog deserves better when:
You're working 50+ hours a week and the dog will be alone half the day
"Exercise" means a couple walks around the block
The household has young children who get hurt feelings when a dog herds them
You picked the breed because they're trendy on social media
Our program
Most of our Malinois clients come through board & train first — usually 4 to 6 weeks to set foundations the owner can build on. Private lessons support individual training goals, and Run Bite Fight Club supports protection-sport work. Already-trained service-dog prospects needing additional proofing may be suited to Doggy High School; participation does not guarantee qualification for service work.
We breed Malinois from titled working lines. If you're considering adding one, start with an evaluation — we'll be honest about whether this is the right breed for your life.

Daily structured work. Not optional. A bored Malinois finds work — usually the kind that costs you money.
A clear handler. They read body language and emotional state better than most humans. You can't fake confidence; they'll know.
Crate training. Non-negotiable. A Malinois who can't settle is a Malinois who self-amps.
Heat tolerance. Oklahoma summers are rough on this breed. Indoor work, early-morning sessions, water management.
A real recall. Drive + speed + intelligence means a Malinois off-leash without a recall is a Malinois in someone else's yard.
