Better together.

Run Bite Fight Club is where sport happens. It's a community of handlers and dogs training in Mondio Ring, IGP/IPO, and international ring sport — and we train at a level that produces trial-ready teams, not backyard decoys.

What Decoy Work Is

Decoy work is the bite work side of protection sport — the handler-dog-decoy triangle that defines how clean, precise, and correct a dog's grip, out, and engagement really is. Good decoy work is the difference between a flashy dog and a dog who can title.

BITE WORK IS A CRAFT
NOT FOR EVERYONE

BITE WORK IS A CRAFT

There's a difference between a dog that bites and a dog that does bite work. The first is reactive. The second is engaged, technical, and under handler control at every moment.

We teach the second. That requires a foundation in drive development, channel work, grip building, and out conditioning — none of which happens in a six-week class. If you want a fast result, this isn't the program. If you want a sport dog you can compete with for years, we'll show you the long road.

The Standard

High quality. High level. High finesse. We don't do sloppy. If you're serious about sport, you'll see it in how the training feels from the first session. Our dogs have clean grips, full bites, calm outs, and engagement on cue — not because we drill it, but because the foundation is built right.

What We Train

Mondio Ring Levels 1–3. IGP/IPO Levels 1–3. French Ring exposure for handlers traveling internationally. Foundation bite development for green dogs. Helper / decoy training for those building the other side of the equation. Off-field obedience and tracking that supports the bite work.

Training Cadence

Weekly club training at our facility. Additional one-on-one Mondio Ring prep sessions available with Jessica when you're prepping for a trial. Travel days a few times a year for trials — handlers carpool, share lodging, and show up for each other. Off-season is for foundation reps and dog maintenance.

Who It's For

Handlers who want to compete, dogs with the drive and structure to handle sport work, and people who want to be part of a community that shows up, trains hard, and travels to trials together. You don't need prior sport experience — but you do need a dog with the genetics for it, and the willingness to put in years of work, not weeks.

Jessica's Background

Jessica began training dogs competitively at seven years old, has spent more than 13 years competing in Mondioring, and has trained and competed internationally at four world competitions. She has worked alongside law enforcement officers and police dogs and taught high-level dogs and handlers working toward their own competitive goals. Her focus is success that is realistic and reachable for each team.

How to Get Involved

Start with an inquiry. We'll set up a session to evaluate you and your dog — because this isn't a drop-in, it's a commitment. We'd rather have five serious handlers than fifteen casual ones.

BEYOND THE CLUB

WE TRAVEL TO COMPETE

The club isn't just weekly training. It's a community of handlers who travel to trials, support each other through the bad reps, and celebrate the titles. Jessica has trained and competed internationally at four world competitions and spent more than 13 years competing in Mondioring. She helps handlers work toward competitive goals that are realistic for their team.

When you join, you're not paying for sessions. You're joining a team.

Common Questions

Yes — most members start that way. What matters is the dog's genetics and your willingness to learn. We'll teach you the timing, the mechanics, and the technical pieces. The evaluation session is where we figure out if your dog has what it takes and whether you're up for the road ahead.

Weekly club training, daily 15–30 minute foundation reps at home, periodic private sessions when you're trial-prepping, and a few trial weekends per year. If you can't carve out an hour a day for your dog plus weekly training plus occasional weekends, this isn't the right fit — and we'd rather you find that out at the evaluation than six months in.

Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds, German Shepherds, and a handful of well-bred working-line bully breeds. We've also worked with talented dogs of other breeds when the genetics line up. The right dog has high drive, strong nerves, biddability under pressure, and physical soundness. We'll be honest at the evaluation if your dog isn't the right fit — and we can point you toward breeders if you want a sport prospect.

No — some members train for the work itself and the community, and never enter a trial. But the club's standard is set by people preparing for competition, so even if you're not titling, you'll be training at the same level. If "casual bite work" is what you're looking for, we're probably not the right club.

Probably not. Bite work for sport is different from a dog with a real-world bite history. A dog who has bitten out of fear, frustration, or possessiveness has a behavior problem that bite work training will not solve — and will likely make worse. If you're dealing with a serious aggression issue, start with the Private Lessons program. If we ever see sport potential, we'll tell you.
