Puppy Foundations helps you build a practical start together: socialization around new people, dogs, sounds, and surfaces; potty training support; loose leash walking; sit, down, come, and leave it. We work on useful skills for everyday life with your puppy.
What You'll Learn
How to reward the behavior you want. How to prevent the behavior you don't. How to raise a puppy who grows into a confident, well-mannered adult dog — not one you're trying to fix at two years old.
A practical start for your puppy
Puppies have a critical socialization window that closes around 16 weeks. What they experience — confidently — during that window becomes normal. What they miss becomes scary later.
Puppy Foundations isn't just "sit and down for puppies." It's structured exposure to the things your puppy will encounter for the rest of their life: new people, surfaces, sounds, other dogs, real-world stimuli. The dogs we see at age two with anxiety problems are almost always the dogs who missed this work.
Format
Six group sessions at our facility. Puppies work together in a controlled environment so they learn to focus around distraction from day one.
